Hannah accepts instruction to both prosecute and defend in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Courts.

Hannah is an approachable advocate who spends time getting to know her clients and build a rapport with them to best put forward their case for first hearings, trials and sentences.

Hannah takes instructions on a range of work from traffic matters to cases of violence and dishonesty.

R v H

In a three day trial Hannah’s client was acquitted on three out of four charges. Hannah persuaded the Magistrates’ Court to retain jurisdiction of the guilty verdict on an ABH and impose a suspended sentence rather than committing to the Crown Court for sentence.

Regulatory and Local Government


Hannah accepts instructions from Local Authorities and Local Constabularies.

Hannah works with many local authorities providing advice and advocacy on a range of matters including, closure orders, noise abatement, fraud, licensing matters and more. She is available to draft written comms between parties and provide written advice.

In Court Hannah represents local authorities and constabularies with diligence and is skilled and experienced in conducting hearings against unrepresented defendants with the additional care and challenges that brings to achieve successful results.

Recent cases.

B v O – self-represented appeal against a domestic noise abatement notice. Hannah received commendation from the Court for her handling of the self-represented client in a clear and fair manner that help the case move forward effectively.

R v F – provided advice on an unusual case of fraud to the local authority and successfully presented the matter to the Court.

S v W – drafted letters on behalf of the local authority to assist a contested costs matter.

B v H – represented a local authority in a Crown Court appeal of a closure order. The appeal was successfully dismissed with full costs awarded to the local authority.

H v D – conducted a case management hearing for a contest Criminal Behaviour Order regarding a dangerous dogs matter with a self-represented defendant resulting in clear directions for both parties to allow a successfully contested hearing on the next occasion.

H v D – negotiated a bail variation that satisfied the concerns of the police and avoided the need for a contested hearing.

H v C – successfully opposed an application to vary bail in a DV matter.
